I just watched a guy die in an accident on I-40 a few minutes ago. he flipped his truck and landed upside-down. we tried to get him out. he stopped talking. he had nevada plates. there was camping gear all over the road. two of my friends who are firefighters showed up and told us to clear the area cause gas was leaking out of the tank. I left. I was glad to see their faces at the scene before I left.

I had a similiar situation a few years ago - trying to lift a car off a teenager is not something I want to ever do again.

I drive that stretch of I-40 twice a day, and I can't get that image out of my head. I've replayed it a million times, I still don't know how he flipped, or what we could have done different to get him out.

I'm glad they made me leave when they did and I didn't see more. I can't imagine what his family went through when they go the news.
