Prayers Needed!

Hey fellow hornfans. I am posting this anonymously for one simple reason: pride. I post on most every board, but to my knowledge I know no one else who frequents this site.

I could use your prayers right now very much. Let me give you all a little insight into the situation my family and I are facing right now. I just got laid off about 2 hours ago. My wife is a full time graduate student who is 7 1/2 months pregnant. Our child is due June 29th and our insurance runs out on June 1st. We have little to no money right now and quite frankly, I am more scared right now than I have ever been in my entire life.

We are miles away from family and friends and the situation is not looking good for us right now.

I and my family would appreciate your prayers.

Thank you.

Hey bud,

You are certainly in my prayers right now. My wife is just about where your's is (she is due at the end of June). I am always concerned about being able to pay for things with the little one on her way. Huge prayers up for you my friend. I will make sure to add you to my church's prayer list ASAP.

PM me if you can, I don't have any money to offer you, but maybe we can put our heads together and find something that will help.

P.S.

You should have something called COBRA on your prior insurance. I'm not sure what that stands for but I believe it's a program that allows you to continue to receive insurance coverage. It may be at a larger monthly charge, but at least you would have it for the baby.

Prayers for you and your wife that all works out well, that you find the strength to help each other through this... and prayers for the health of your wife and baby.

And check out COBRA - you will probably have to pay a bit more for a few months, but it should cover your wife through delivery and the baby through delivery and the first month I think, excluding dr visits outside of the hospital. But do check into it. Your employer must offer it by law, if you were originally covered.

My prayers are with you too.

You do have the COBRA option. So, you will have insurance for the birth and for up to 18 months or so from the term date, BUT, it will be expensive. No doubt worth it for the birth, but don't worry about not having anything.

Best of luck to you too.
