Prayers for my mother

It seems like I've been coming around here more often, but today I received news I was not expecting at all.

My mother, who is a cancer survivor received bad news today. It looks like her cancer is back and has spread to some of her bones.

This is the last thing my family needs, especially my mom. Her father is very sick right now from pancreatic cancer and I honestly could not deal with losing my mother.

If you have time, please pray to give her the strength to beat this and pray for positive test results to come.

Update: My mom got her test results back today. They found one good sized tumor in her hip bone region which has caused her a lot of pain lately. She will have to have it removed regardless soon.

She will have a biopsy on Wednesday to determine if it is cancerous or not, so the next step is to hope for the best.

Good news is that nothing had spread right now.

Well, we finally have the official news on my mom. Her cancer is back and she will be under going radiation shortly. We find out this week which stage her cancer is at and how long she will be under going treatment.

I'm very lucky that I have the most amazing mother. She is so positive and strong that you'd never know how much pain she is in. If you can, please continue to pray for her to keep the faith and strength to fight this again.

So I wanted to send an update since it has been about two months since I last posted.

My mom finished her radiation treatments about a week before Thanksgiving. Today, my mom received some rather bad news as to where she has two tumors at least, instead of one. Next week she will undergo more tests to determine how well the radiation did and if there are anymore tumors in her body. She then will start chemo treatments.

If you can, please keep my family in your prayers this holiday season. My mom is strong, but everything now is starting to take its toll. She is in extreme pain most the time, but tries to hide it from us. She's also worried about her father who is struggling to fight cancer as well.

From the past, I know the power of prayers, but I'm just hoping it is enough this time. Her first doctor told her basically she could not beat this and wanted to stop treatment so my mom could atleast enjoy what time she had left. How horrible to give up like that. Luckily, my mom found an amazing doctor who will help my mom fight this with everything she has.

Sorry for the venting, but it is just not fair that my mom and grandfather who are the most generous people you will ever meet, have to go through this, especially during their favorite time of the year.

I wish I could do more to help and I hate that I can't, but I truly appreciate all the prayers from this community and all my friends. Thank you all and God Bless.

Sorry to hear that the news was not good, but we'll continue to pray that God will bring you a miracle. We'll also pray for strength for all of you during the holiday season.
