Guys & gals,

I know that everyone is stoked for this weekend's showdown with ou. I just want to let everyone know that a fellow hornfans.com poster will be undergoing surgery this week before the game. I wanted to post here so that people can keep him in their prayers because of the anxiety that he facing. Moderators, could please leave this here for a while so that more people will have a chance to view it before moving to prayer requests?

This is a heart surgery, where the doctors are going to have to go in through two routes. One through the groin and the other through the clavicle. This is his second procedure to pinpoint abnormalties and make corrections. The first procedure lasted 7 1/2 hours and was very painful.

Anyways, he wrote this to me, and I thought I would share with y'all so you can keep him in your prayers tomorrow morning.

My procedure is set for this next Friday morning, Oct. 11th. I will check into Houston Herman Hospital on Thursday afternoon for the preliminary test and for the preprocedure IV blood thinning therapy. After the procedure, they will monitor me for 24 or more hours to make sure there is no complications and should release me sometime around late Saturday afternoon or Staturday evening.

If all is well, I'm scheduled to return to work on Oct. 28th. Hopefully by then, the Horns will be undefeated and be on the way to a MNC.

BTW, I told him he might want someone to tell him how the game turns out before watching it on tape.

Thanks & Hook 'Em!!

Best wishes on a successful surgery and speedy recovery. My thoughts and prayers will be with him. And who knows, maybe he'll wake up just in time to see a deep ball from Chris to Roy to ice the game.

TxRx,

This is the second of these procedures in the last two months for mmtejas...he's in Herman hospital in Houston...checked in this morning.

He'll be fine...they'll correct the problem...the Horns will spank the swindlers...and he'll be able to watch the game Sunday with no fear of blowing out any sutures.

...just received a call from his wife and he's in recovery and they say all went well and he's doing okay.

You guys are good.
