Prayer for Grandmother Mom - UPDATE

Hello fellow hornfans,

I've never done anything like this before, but I figured this would be a good place to request prayers for my mom as well as my grandma.

My grandmother lives in Florida and immigrated here about 40 years ago from the Phillipines. She was a psychiatrist for death row inmates for the past couple of years and retired last week. She is having severe pain and has been on morphine. Right now, her doctors have taken her off of it and she is suffering severe withdrawal situations. I am quite worried, as well as other family members are, that she will not make it much longer. She is a great woman who I care for dearly.

Because of the situation with my grandmother, I am becoming increasingly worried about the health of my mother. A couple of weeks ago she developed a huge pain in her neck, and the doctors diagnosed it as a knot that could cause blood vessels to burst, causing her to have a stroke. I ask that anyone out there pray that her health and stress levels improve.

I really appreciate any prayers that are made.

Prayers for your Mother and Grandmother. It is always stressfull when a loved one is in pain, especially a parent. I also pray for your strength.

I really would like to thank everyone who replied and read this thread for your thoughts and prayers.

I was able to talk to my Grandmother yesterday, and she is doing quite a bit better than earlier this week. She is now trying stuff like acupuncture and the withdrawal symptoms from the morphine have subsided. She sounded so much better on the phone.

My mother is also doing quite a better and is starting to relax.

Once again I appreciate all thoughts and prayers. Thanks again and I will keep everyone updated on the situation.
