My sister-in-law has a sister-in-law, and she has a sister named Sarah who is a graduate student at Columbia University.
Pray for Sarah, she is in the hospital because Friday night she was followed home to her apartment, and over a 12-15 hour period she was raped, assaulted, and tortured.
She is suffering from severe chemical burns on her face and eyes due to a bleach like substance thrown in her face, presumably to prevent her from identifying the attacker. Doctors say that had she not been wearing contact lenses, she would be blind now.
She was also force fed Tylenol until she overdosed. Doctors have treated that, and they say her blood levels are doing allright, but the enzyme levels in her liver are still too high, and if they don't come down soon she will need a liver transplant.
Police plan on charging the attacker with assault, sexual assault, kidnapping, arson, and attempted murder.
However, the attacker is still at large.
