Players at the Elite camp

I saw the following at the camp today--Cokie Reed; Nikki Green; Lauren Flores; Tierra Rogers; and Nneka Enemkpali (she looked pretty good although I haven't heard about her--she looks to be at least 6 feet, maybe 6-1 or 6-2). Odyssey Sims is supposed to be here although I was unable to ID her.

The All Star game is tomorrow (Tuesday) at 11:15am. The camp opens at 9:30 am.

I saw both Nash sisters, Brittainey, Aubry, Erika,Ashley and Earnie at the camp. Erika looks absolutely great. Looks like she has put a lot of hard work into her rehab.

I spotted Stacey Stephens also helping out.

All the coaches were there although I didn't spot Coach G until after lunch. Since they were using the practice center also, that's probably where she was since I didn't spot Greene and Flores at the FEC until after lunch either. And Greene and Reed stuck out as the two tallest players on the court.

edited to add a link to a story on Nneka Enemkpali.

Thanks for the update. Sounds like the DFW Elite program was well-accounted for.

My gut tells me that Reed, Green, and Rogers join Flores for our 2009 class. Was hoping to read that Bone was at the camp, as she is the other piece to my "dream class" for Gail and company . . .

I'll be keeping my eye on Enemkpali and Amber Henson (Round Rock HS) as they have several more years playing in the Austin area high school ranks.

I wasn't expecting Bone as I think she is traveling in Europe with the Blue Star team or maybe just before camp.It was good to see both Reed and Greene here. I watched Flores quite a bit. She is going to blow people out of the water with her personality. She was spending a lot of time with Sims, Rogers and Reed as well as with the UT players. Flores looks totally comfortable with the players and coaching staff. Rogers reminds me of a smaller Brittainey with her ability to drive and play defense. She's fast, quick and anticipates passes well when defending.

Reed, Greene, and Rogers joining Flores would be an awesome class for the Horns. Flores makes getting another PG a luxury rather than a necessity.

Reed blocked several shots during the all star game, which could be a preview of what Ashley Gayle will bring to the court this season. Reed has refined her offensive game, looking like her shot from 15 feet plus is more consistent than it was at last year's camp.

I didn't see the freshmen but may have just missed them.

Well, just about 2 months until the fall classes start.
