I'd like to add ... the stem cell research is a moot point issue, if that even had any declarative value to the discussion at all.
This summer, I had micro-fracture knee surgery. What I thought was just a loose bit of cartilage to be picked out like a grass burr in your foot turned-out to be much more extensive.
The surgeon had to remove the inner 3/4 of my knee cartilage. So, he drilled 3 holes in my femur!!!
Said we were going to regrow the cartilage from the stem cells in the bone marrow of my leg!!!! I had no idea that could be done.
But here I am ... about to finish physical therapy on that knee which was "no load" for 7 weeks due to the drilling 5 months ago.
And no babies were harmed in the repair of my knee.
