Pimp my man-cave

Great ideas - the glass doors especially and the ice machine. I like those a lot. The problems I'll have with my wife are not so much the cave itself, but building around the 3 fruit trees we have on the same side. If the trees go - she goes.
And she makes too damn much money for me to let her go.

I understand the permit stuff and I am a manager at TXU - so the electrical end of things I have covered. Please keep the ideas coming. I'm taking notes on all the great suggestions.

LonghornCatholic- sell the wife.... try and include her on the ideas. I guarantee she can see the potential for a nice entertainment area opening up to the pool. I might also try to mount the plasma so that it could swivel and vace the covered pation next to the cave. Get her excited about the possiblities and you just might be able to convince her to sacrifice one of those trees... or you could accidentally poison one.... ;-) Take my advice and include the wife and she may be as excited about it as you!

Summer stole my idea about the garage doors, think Posse. Ice machine is a grand idea as well.

I would also suggest a having an outdoor kitchen type of thing, with a brick oven and/or infrared grill. Lot's of meat to be cooked for the man cave.
