I'm kinda sad I don't have the opportunity to take photos of the stadium anymore, but I'm glad that so many other people (much like yourself, hornius) are able to get such great shots (even inside!)

I'm not too crazy about the colored tiles either. Did anyone at the design firm think, oh maybe some burnt orange might liven things up a bit?

the Tiling in the concessions isn't great but man did ya'll check out the tiling in the visiting coache's bathroom. That **** is quite nice.

I think the Starbucks panders more to the crowd that will be using that part as a year round facility. (students, vistors etc)

Who knows, maybe we'll get lucky and it will be cold for the A&M game allowing me to use a warm mocha for my whiskey.

You guys who haven't seen it in person from the outside are going to be amazed by how much more awesome and intimidating it just LOOKS from outside as you approach it, especially from the north.

Remember that area between the exterior wall of the former north endzone and 23rd street? The pavilion, or whatever? That's nearly gone. The north endzone facade extends nearly to 23rd street now.

It's really incredible how much work has been done in just a short time. The pressure on the contractors to get it finished and have it looking right must be immense.

Day-um, that is just not your daddy's Memorial Stadium anymore. Can't believe how much they've cut down the distance between the stands and the field.

Unrelated to the NEZ expansion, but when do the SEZ Bleachers go in for the season? Anyone know?

Assuming they're using the same contractor as the last few years, they'll start in early Aug. Since it'll be the smaller sized bleachers (~4k) that we saw in 2006, it shouldn't take more than a couple of weeks.

Look at the fourth picture. That's as close as I could get. The doors that lead out onto the deck were locked and my guide didn't have the exact key needed to let me out there.

The NEZ Club seats should be the chair backs immediately in front of the glass windows. The NEZ "chair backs" should be in front of the NEZ club.
