Don't have a link but this is what Bohls is tweeting. First tweet said he is out for the year with an elbow injury. Second tweet said that this "was a killer for the Horns."

After his removal from the last game he pitched in the Big 12 Tournament, he was said to have a sore arm.

It was reported by the coaching staff that it wasn't serious.
It seems it was indeed quite serious.

This probably means Thornhill goes on Friday since French was used multiple times in OKC.

The advantage that Texas had of pitching depth is now considerably depleted. It means another arm such as Schiraldi or a mostly unknown like Sawyer must now step up.

It's either that or a sudden surge in the offense against good pitching like what Rice can provide.

We have waited for that for a long time, but now it would seem essential if Texas is have a deep run in the playoffs.

Roger Wallace reporting it as well. That does not help. Oh well. Win the regional for Dillon!!!!

Well, obviously Schiraldi will move up in the rotation. In fact I would consider starting him against Texas A&M on Friday. He hasn't pitched in over a week and looked good in his last outing against TTU, who is better than A&M.

That way the other two starters are available for games 2 and 3.

However, In Skip I trust.

I say we pitch Thornhill and at least go a game up on the Ags. IMHO, we don't have the stones to win this regional. This team has done nothing but tease and bust the last few months. Nothing will change here. BUT...at the very least, save our dignity by not getting bounced by the damn sorry Ags. Gimme Game 1 and we can take our chances with our #3 vs. Aggy #3 come semis elimination game time.

You pitch Thornhill because the coaching staff knows your best shot to win the Regional is too win the first two games.

Then you have two shots at winning the Regional against
a team that has played an extra game and that means you are on a pretty equal or even better status in pitching depth despite the loss of Peters.
