Paul Newman has died

On top of all of his amazing accomplishments, I'd like to add that by all accounts he was a devoted husband of 50 years and loving father.

With his looks & charisma, it's hard to imagine that he could stay faithfull, but I'd like to think so. He was asked about that and his response was, "Why go out for hamburger when you have steak at home?"

A life lived doesn't get much better than Paul Newman's.

i was first introduced back in 98 to paul newman. it was cool hand luke. i was a fan of his ever since.

Hombre is the one that is often overlooked. Turns "Stagecoach" upside down.

He and Steve McQueen, irreplaceable. The boy-men young actors of the last twenty years would shrink to raisins if forced to share the screen with Newman or McQueen during their rise.

Indeed, Newman was great on the screen and off. Congrats on a great life and RIP.

If you didn't just see Letterman's tribute to Newman, hopefully it will be posted on his website. If ever there was anything that could be described as sweet, this was it. Very touching.

Paul Newman was a celebrity who did it right. Stayed with the same woman, who is in every way his equal. Started a cottage business that grew into an empire, and gave all of the proceeds away. Stayed out of the tabloids. Just lived his life.

I could swim in those limpid blue eyes. He was a handsome devil, even as he aged. I fell in love with him all over again in Nobody's Fool.

A great actor, and a great humanitarian. Too bad we all aren't like that.

The world just lost a really good guy, but Heaven gained one.
