Urban gets the start and retires Pan Am in order on a K swinging.

Johnson is the DH tonight and leads off and grounds a ball in the hole on the left side fielded by the shortstop and his long throw is ruled in time on very close play for out one.

Hall works a walk on a full count pitch to reach.

Weis up and a passed ball moves Hall to second.

Weis K's swinging for out two.

Payton singles to right and Hall scores as Texas leads 1-0.

Hinojosa with a swinging bunt down the third baseline for an infield hit puts two on with two away.

Shaw starting in left walks on a full count and for some reason throws to third and and nearly throws it away. Pan Am is not a very good team.

Felts flies out to shallow right to end the inning and leave them loaded.


Texas leads 1-0 after one inning.
 
Urban back out and a ground ball to Ty Marlow is bobbled, but he gets it to Urban covering just in time for out one.

Hard ground ball to Weis at third and it handcuffs him, but he stays with and throws out the hitter for out two.

Urban blows away the next hitter on a high fast ball for a swinging K to end the inning.

Texas leads after an inning and one half.
 
Urban retired the side again as the feed took a hiatus on me

To the bottom of the second and Texas leads 1-0.
 
Carter is retired to lead off the second for one away.

B. Marlow singles to put a man on.

Johnson walks to put two on

Hall grounds out to first as the runners advance for two away.

Weis grounds out to first to end the inning and leave two more stranded.

Texas leads 1-0 after two complete.
 
Urban out for the third and gives up a single back through the box into center to put the lead man on.

A sac bunt moves the runner to second with one away.

A fly ball foul down the third base line is snagged by Shaw as he hits the wall for a nice play and out two.

A fly ball to left this time in fair ground ends the inning.

To the bottom of the third Texas leads 1-0.
 
The feed went down again but Payton walked was out trying to steal second.

Hinojosa flies out for out two then Shaw walked and Felts singled.

Then two walks a pitching change and another walk and a balk has made it 4-0 nothing Texas as we race to catch up with the action.

Hall with the fifth walk of the inning reloads the bases.

Weis grounds out to first to finally end the inning.

Texas leads 4-0 on a walk fest and a single.
 
Urban still on the hill after the long inning gets a liner to left for the first out.

A K looking is the second out.

A foul pop to Weis is the third out to end the inning.

Texas leads 4-0 to the bottom of the fourth.
 
Payton leads off the fourth and grounds out.

Hinojosa with yet another walk for Texas reaches with one away.

This brings about another pitching change for Pan Am.

Shaw is called out looking on a pitch not even close as it's at least six inches outside as he is tired of the walk fest it seems for out two.

Felts singles to left to put two on.

Ty Marlow singles to left by the third baseman to score Hinojosa to make it 5-0.

B. Marlow grounds out to first to end the inning.

Texas leads 5-0 after four innings.
 
Urban in the fifth gives up a double down the line in left.

A ground ball to Hinojosa and he throws to Weis to get the lead runner trying to advance for out one.

A K swinging is out two.

A single puts runners on first and second with two down.

Another single scores a run to make it 5-1.

Here comes Skip and Urban is done and is replaced by Duke.

A ground ball to first ends the inning.

Texas leads 5-1 halfway through the game.
 
Johnson leads off and grounds out to third for out one.

Hall also grounds out to third for out two.

Weis K's swinging again as Texas goes in order.

Texas leads 5-1 after five.
 
Duke still out there in the sixth hits the lead off man on a 1-2 pitch to put a man on.

The next hitter K's looking for out one.

Now a tailor made grounder is a 4-6-3 dp to end the inning.

Heading to the bottom of six Texas leads 5-1.
 
Payton leads off and bunts down the third base line for a hit.

Hinojosa singles through the left side to put two on.

Shaw tries to move the runners up but the bunt is too hard and Payton is forecd at third 1-5.

Felts flies out for out two.

Ty Marlow is HBP to load the bases.

B. Marlow lines out to first to leave them loaded and end the inning.

Texas leads 5-1 after six now.
 
Duke still out there as the seventh starts and he walks the lead off hitter to put a man on.

The next hitter K's swinging for out one.

A fly ball to center is out two.

A single just by B. Marlow at second puts two on.

A ground ball that B. Marlow stumbles as he fields, but recovers and throws out the hitter to end the inning.

Texas leads 5-1 to the stretch.

Thanks for updates. Sorry I missed you this past weekend was traveling again. After reading the Sunday thread i have to admit I am glad I missed it.
 
Johnson leads off as another new Pan Am pitchers toes the rubber. And he works yet another walk to put on yet another UT base runner.

Johnson moves up on a wild pitch.

Hall up and another pitch the catcher misses completely but hits the ump in the nether regions on the fly and the catcher picks up the ball and guns out Johnson at third for the first out.

That was an interesting play to say the least.



Of course Hall gets yet another walk to reach which is walk number 12 for Texas tonight.

Weis flies out to center for out two.

Payton up and Hall steals second.

Payton flies out to left to end the inning and strand baserunner
# 14 for Texas.

It seems like Texas should have about 20 runs but after seven innings Texas leads 5-1.
 
Knebel in for some work in the eighth retires the side quickly on a K swinging and a couple of ground balls.

To the bottom of the eighth Texas leads 5-1 as yet another Pan Am pitcher comes in.
 
Hinojosas leads off K's swinging for out one.

Shaw singles up the middle to put another man on for Texas.

Shaw steals second as Felts is up.

Felts grounds out to third as Shaw stays at second for out two.

Ty Marlow doubles in the gap in left center and Shaw scores to make it 6-1.

B. Marlow grounds out to second to end the inning.

Texas leads 6-1 as we go to the ninth.
 
Knebel out to finish it fields a bunt right back to hiim for the first out.

A pop up to second is out two.

A fly out to center ends the game.

Texas wins 6-1 in a game they should and did win
 
These are scores from the conference we are in played tonight. The only ranked team in this conference has lost
four out of their last five games including this nice double header sweep by Arkansas-Little Rock in Norman.
