OU vs Tenn

You don't understand because you don't want to understand. The team was basically in a panic trying to find a way to ensure that CP got a double-double and in doing so completely quit running their offense and just dumped it to her as fast as they could, so your intimation that it was just to run a play for their "best player" is a bit ridiculous. And in my opinion, CP is the third best player on the team, behind Ashley and Robinson. If she didn't miss so many shots her rebounding average wouldn't be so high. She is the Moses Malone of women's basketball. OU clearly had the game in hand but instead of eating the clock as any smart coach would do, Coale was more concerned with keeping the streak in tact. If I had been a Tennessee player I would have fouled...and probably pretty hard.
 
At the 6 minute mark of the second half, OU had an 18 point lead. In those last 6 minutes OU scored 8 points, and much of the offense was geared to getting the ball to CP to keep the streak alive. In the last 6 minutes, Tennessee scored 16 points.

What was not a close game at all, turned into a close game because....

In those 6 minutes, CP had a turnover, 2 missed shots, a steal, 2 fouls and one made basket.
 
Good info Rexy...shows how the desire to try to keep the streak alive turned a not so close game into a close one because they went away from what was working to try to get CP some more points. Hand and Robinson were killing Tennessee.
