OU Tickets / $1000 Cutoff

Sounds like the magical $1000 LF donor level for OU tickets may be exceeded this year . How many of you are going to lose out on your OU seats if so?

So, you are just throwing a number out there at random? You might want to put a ? in your title. Basically, you have no information to share.

I would think with the added Cotton Bowl seating, the donation requirement wouldn't go any higher than it was last year. Can't imagine the DKR expansion has added that many upper $ donors.

this si not surprising since we have a bunch of new 2000 per seat club seats, and a bunch of new 750 per seat chairbacks. that was going to raise the cut off.

How many seats will be added to the Cotton Bowl for this year? I am thinking about whether I should even request OU tickets this year. I dropped my donation severely.

was that the same organization that "neglected" to mention that those folks who paid $2,000 for the NEZ seat licences would also have to pay a $25 per game, per ticket premium for the honor of sitting in the NEZ and eating their "buffet"?

I would be highly shocked if the OU cutoff was anything under $1250.

You have at least 5,000 people who donated at least 2k to get their NEZ seats, yes some of those folks were already donating more money, but probably 1/3-1/2 of those donations are for new donors or donors giving much more than they did previously.

5k people with 4 seats each, ordering 4 OU tickets each means 20,000 OU tickets already spoken for. And that doesnt even include the other LHF donors who decided to keep their current seats. Even with the improvements to the Cotton Bowl I dont think it has a capacity higher than 94,000 people, or 47,000 per team.

Last year the cutoff was above $800. My $1000 donation allowed me to have 12th row, section 17 seats- otherwise known as, the last suckers to get tickets.

With so many more donations going higher I just cant see any scenario where the OU cutoff didnt increase by anything less than 150%

The OU cutoff is going to increase. But any number that might be floating around, including the $1,000 in the original post is merely a guess. At this point, there is absolutely NO indication of what the cutoff will be. A general idea won't even be known until August, when the OU distribution process will actually begin. Until then, EVERYTHING is just a guess. There definitely needs to be a '?' added to this thread title.

Before I made my LHF contribution this year, I called a guy I know at the Foundation. He guestimated that the cutoff for OU tickets would be $1200.

Drove by the Cotton Bowl the other day. It looks awesome! The entire end zones are double decked all the way around! It is a massive bowl! Going to be an incredible scene!

i am almost positive that MikeUT came on here last year and said the "hard" cutoff was above $806. But i could be wrong

However, I know Belmont offers 500 or so tickets in a lottery situation for those folks who request OU tickets, but didnt give enough to meet the cutoff- so maybe that explains how you got them (either that or the cutoff was below $800
