OU series moved from Norman to Globe Life in Arlington

If I had to guess, I would suspect it is MLB lockout related since MLB has pushed its schedule back two weeks. The Globe Life folks probably started looking around for a money making opportunity to use stadium that weekend which shouldn't mean a return trip next year as hopefully there wont be a work stoppage in the majors to create this opening.

From the Texas Rangers website: Just FYI -

Q: IS MY TICKET ASSIGNED TO A SPECIFIC SEAT?

A: All tickets for this event are considered General Admission tickets. Upon arriving to Globe Life Field, open seats will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. In an effort to promote social distancing, every other row and select seats will be blocked.

DBU plays against UTA at Globe Life on March 22nd. I'd go if I wasn't teaching that night. Those tickets are $15.00

The Sooners have already played 6 games at Globe Life: 3 in an opening weekend mini-tournament, and then a 3-game series against Northwestern State. I'm not sure what they're up to in north Texas exactly, but I don't trust them. :smile1:

Have you lived in Norman, OK? I spent three years in Dell City just north of Norman while in the Air Force. ANYTHING to get out of Oklahoma is good. Just kidding OUBubba. Tinker AFB was a really good assignment.

On local radio they said they are trying to create a baseball version of the Red River Rivalry in a neutral location that would be played this way every year.

Done properly, it would also expand the N-I-L footprint...and some of the big cigar types in the metroplex are probably a little looser with the pursestrings when they can see their livestock up close and personal.

Anyone going to the Texas / OU game in Arlington? I need to check with J. Gilligan's to see if they have a shuttle like they do for Cowboy's games. Used to be free shuttle from the restaurant to the stadium and back if you ate at the restaurant.

Only got to go to the Cowboy's games due to the Texas Lottery win at work. Not spending $360 each on 30-yard line seats.

We will probably go to one of the games. We are used to Parking in Lot M so we will park there unless it is closed.

I have family obligations Friday and Saturday but will very likely be there Sunday so if any fellow DFW Hornfans want to get together on that day PM me.
