Absolutely correct. Control the ball with time consuming physical drives that end in touchdowns and hold them to fg's. Orlando needs to bring a four man rush and they need to keep containment with a push into Hurt's face. The outside rushers cannot get too wide or get taken behind Hurts. If we blitz, it should be with the d-line slanting to the opposite side from where the blitz is coming. Herman should start bitching now about the dirt burglars holding which they do as a strategy and have done as long as I can remember.
Good post..
I'll add that they cannot get too wide, but also cannot get held and sucked inside. Will be interesting to see if we can get push up the middle while containing the edges. Alot will ride on this aspect of the game Saturday. ...for them as well.

We played a damn good football team and managed to get the win. I’ll take that brand of choking every Saturday all year long.
It's a shame...we actually beat them pretty bad last year... almost. If we hadn't have let up I think the vibe and whole effect of that victory on the remainder of the season including the CCG rematch might have been different.

The game comes down to if we can stop your offense. I think the Sooners are going to score 35-40 points. The question is are they going to let the UT quarterback combine the bullishness of Blake Bell with the arm of almost Baker M.

I really think that Hurts may be a better all around QB for the current college game than the last two. I like to compare different positions to NFL running backs. Barry Sanders was obviously amazing. However, if I were building a team I'd rather have Emmitt Smith. Emmitt made a 1 yard gain into 4 often. Barry might turn a 1 yard loss into 80 yards but he also might turn a 4 yard gain into a 1 yard loss being too creative. Hurts is an Emmitt. Kyler may have been an Emmitt/Barry combination. Baker was a Barry. It's just too bad neither of them had a defense to help them out.

I think it might be who's winning late and can they get a stop when they need it. I agree on Hurts, but he's the only major segment of your team that I love.
