OU 2008 is NOT OU 2007

I guess you think the mighty utep is better then washington then, becuase we looked much better on the road then you have.

They're good, not doubt, but I think we'll still show up in Dallas on October 11 if it's OK with you.

Most of the OU callers to Rivals radio and asking about their chances against USC. I love it.

I am sticking to my preseason prediction.

Texas beats OU and Missouri twice to win the Big XII.

Yeah I am a pumper ......so what ?
It is just a feeling or a hunch anyway.

Is it just me.....or does Every team look different Every year??

did you watch the utep game??? Texas didnt dominate the line of scrimage on either side. They out gained you rushing, and total yards, its not like you shut them down. There where guys in the secondary running wide open, but the qb couldnt get them the ball. Wahington and utep are both bad teams, but washington does have some legit nfl propects and more team speed the utep.
When I watch great teams play bad teams I look for them to domiate on both sides of the ball, texas didnt do that. Its not like texas was going to lose that game, but you would expect them to dominate the other team, not just trade punches until you wear them out and pull away at the end of the game

I really do not think the outcome of the game on October 11th in Dallas will have anything to do with how Texas played against UTEP.

Biggest news in the Big 12 so far this year is that Colt McCoy 2008 is not Colt McCoy 2007.

Just so we can get this clear now, rather than after October, should lowly inept Texas pullout a win would the reason be that:

A) UTEP was as good a sample as the Huskies
B) Mack is a better gameday coach than stoops
C) The media is wrong and Zero U does in fact suck
D) All of the above

Please choose either one of "A" through "D" above sooners. Given your zest for convincing us now we have no chance in our quest versus that "almost the greatest team of all time" of yours, you will most certainly need plausable deniability.....should the impossible happen.

Count me as an optimist when Texas plays OU this year.

One reason why is that Chris Simms or Chance Mock is not quarterbacking the Horns. I will say this about mcCoy. He doesn't throw the two yard screen pass like Simms used to. McCoy is not afraid to throw the ball down the field. He's tough minded. I think McCoy gets more respect from his teammates than Simms did his. Even when VY was there his first two years, he wasn't as developed as he was in 05 and his teammates didn't step up against OU in 03 and 04. Yes, VY did beat OU, but that was a down year for the Sooners.

I also thought The receivers at Texas back from 00-03, BJ Johnson, Sloan thomas and to an extent, Roy Williams were soft and really never made big plays against OU, wilth the exception of roy Williams when he was a junior.)

I had zero confidence that the Texas teams from 01-04 would ever beat OU, but McCoy is a playmaker, and what he did to Oklahoma in 06 was impressive and I thought Colt played well in the 07 loss to OU. That Jamaal Charles fumble hurt alot.

I think to beat Oklahoma, you need a quarterback that exudes confidence. McCoy does that. Applewhite rubbing off on him can't hurt either.

Everyone in the national media already believes OU will beat Texas, but I am not convinced. Our Defense should be better with Muschamp aboard as well. The Horns gave up only 28 points last year to OU. I just can't see a Muschamp team giving up a lot of points after what his defenses have done to Florida the last two years.

I never said we would for sure to beat texas, I just saif tht ou is more talented on both sides of the ball. They are a better team then texas. That doesnt mean ou will win. If ou and texas both bring their a game then ou will win. If texas brings their A game and ou doesnt then texas could win. Better teams lose all the time.
My argument was that some think we are equaly talented and that texas has just as many questions as ou, and thats not true.
