OU @ 11:00?

When I said people would die (which was clearly a joke), I didn't necessarily mean that as a knock on the neighborhood. I've been shithoused and aimlessly looking for my car in places I had no business being around there and never had any sort of problem. It was more of a comment about the two fanbases having all day to get their drunk ******* on and then filing out of the Cottonbowl around 11:00p. It wouldn't be pretty.

I hate this recent idea of the premier game being at night which IMO has come on because of the recent ABC Saturday night game which when they started it said it was going to be the best game each week...which it has not and I think because of the continuation of the NFL trying to make their weeks premier game at Sunday/Monday night. While college games can be great at night....I love a marquee matchup at 11am or 2:30pm. I don't think there is such a thing as being shorted when it comes to timeslots in college...only how much of the nation is getting the game.

11am is rough, but it has been at 11am several times over the past few years. I think the massacres of 2000 and 2003 were at 11am.

While that is early, I would not want a night game. It would be a stupid move for people getting more drunk and in fights, and it just wouldn't feel the same.

I hate the networks manipulating the time slots of games! College football is meant to be played during daylight hours in almost all occasions. Makes for great tailgating and such. Special night games should only be between 2 Top 10 teams.
Games should be played at 11, 2:30, and 6. (CST)
Then. either offer a crappy Pac-10 game, or a marquee matchup at 7:30.

11 is a ******* disaster. I have to start drinking at 6 am at the hotel, then get to the lots when they open to drink more, then to the beer stands for some wax cup beer.

It will take a lot of planning, effort, and perseverance to get shitfaced before I walk in to the game.

Getting drunk should be easy. I will get it done though.

I too hate 11, but being in Dallas I can tell you that a night game is out of the question. This is a city that does not work and a population that basically hates each other- and with good reason. In short, it is a hole and you should leave town as quickly as you can.

Dallas Texas Exes tailgate on the State Fairgrounds starts at 7am. So the Fair is definitely open by 7am. I won't be there by 7am but I am hoping for 8am. Gotta get up early.

2005 was a Noon kickoff. This game will get the national spotlight. Florida/LSU will get the 2:30pm slot on CBS. Personally it would be nice if those timeslots were flipped, but those two networks seem opposed to coordinating their game times. The last few weekends we have had total crap at 11am, then four or five good games at 2:30pm. I'd rather play at 2:30pm, but if we win it won't matter what time we kicked off. I'll start at 7am on the lawn, then move to Hans at 8am. Brats and Spaten for breakfast.

The early start this year will give a lot of fans the chance to visit ESPN College GameDay, which starts at 9 am. Not sure how many fans will be left for them when they wrap up the show at 11.

I don't care about kickoff time. I am just glad as hell that I have a ticket to the game. I will manage to drink a lot before the game, no matter what time it kicks off!
