Michigan coach Juwan Howard throws a punch as a fight breaks out on the hand-shaking line after their defeat by Wisconsin.

Howard sucker punching the Wisconsin coach was classless. Surprised Howard did that.
(Edit) instead of “classless” I should have written: shockingly violent reaction that escalated a tense situation into an on court brawl. It was a physical assault.

Not defending, but Howard was not going to shake his hand and was trying to do a walk by.

The Wisc coach stuck out his arm to stop Howard from walking by so he actually started the incident. Pretty classless of the Wisc coach to call that timeout with 10 seconds left in the game too.

I agree the Wis coach made a silly move with the timeout. See my edit above. Wonder why he did that. Also I wonder what Howard said to him when Howard refused the hand shake in the walk-by.

I see it a little differently. The reserves were in the game and he may have been working on end of game situations with them. It could come in handy if not this year but next year when one or more of those guys might be in a late important game. It's not the same pressure in practice as it is in a live situation even with a big lead.

Big 12 is such a tough conference.
