They throw a pick and it's game over in the apparently tough at Wisconsin stadium.Wisconsin's lucky enough to still be in it. An adept offense, they are not....
Still, they've got one last drive to put it together.
On Wisconsin!
As tough as most of the venues in the SEC, day or night?? I highly doubt it. FFSTalked about Oregon game and how it was tied but tough to play at night in Wisconsin.
Chris Fowler: Texas just didn't look like an elite team today.
Five minutes later they report #1 Oregon beats a 5-5, and unranked, Wisconsin by 3 pts.
Screw Chris Fowler.
Yeah, I was on that thread. But I doubt any of them are voters. Voters that might not have watched the game but take the word of Fowler...To be fair. Most of the posters on our game thread said the same thing about the Longhorns.
It's the narrative for sure. Their 16 points...Chris Fowler: Texas just didn't look like an elite team today.

Yep, it was predictable. When it was still this score during the Tenn - Georgia game, Fowler and Herbstret was showing the Top 10 and how they did today.
Talked about Oregon game and how it was tied but tough to play at night in Wisconsin. Then got to the Texas game and how we struggled against Arkansas.
These two aren't the only ones spouting this narrative. It's getting out there about who have we beaten. We are 5 - 1 in the mighty SEC and all of a sudden our schedule is weak now.
Doubt very seriously that voters are " taking Fowler's word".Yeah, I was on that thread. But I doubt any of them are voters. Voters that might not have watched the game but take the word of Fowler...
It isn't just Fowler. The reality is that, what originally seemed a strong schedule, is very mediocre. And nobody is doing less with more than Texas.Doubt very seriously that voters are " taking Fowler's word".

They SHOULD be curbstomping teams but the Quarterback Whisperer is too stubborn to put a mobile QB in the game. The result is predictable mediocrity that is seen by all.
There is far more to 'good' than record. We've had a weak schedule and even Ray Charles could see that, and Texas struggles are largely due to a QB that cannot get out of his own way and generally seems to be afraid of contact. If 9-1 is mediocre, I"ll take it every time.
"We should be curb stomping teams" ?
It's funny that "fans" set their own expectations and get sideways when the team doesn't oblige them.
After the past decade of Texas football I cannot imagine such discontent with where we are right nowThe result is predictable mediocrity that is seen by all.
Unfortunately Fowler is correct - Texas looked like an elite Defense, but certainly not the Offense. The offense did just enough to win against an inspired effort by the Hogs in a hostile environment. I'll be happy with the ugly win, because it does go into the "W" column. But the Offense needs to rachet it up for the rest of the season.Chris Fowler: Texas just didn't look like an elite team today.
Careful...some of the usual suspects will be by shortly to poop your post for daring to have eyes.Unfortunately Fowler is correct - Texas looked like an elite Defense, but certainly not the Offense. It's already kind of a Conference USA.The Big 12
For next year and going forward,
As a condition to receiving an auto bid for the conference champion, a TOP 4 bid if the champ is in the top 4 conference champs, etc........
The Big 12 should be forced to bring on Wash. St. and Oregon St.-- the leftovers from the PAC. The Big 12 teams could all schedule another conference game or two.
