OTHER GAMES

48 - 7 Hoosiers
You’re right. I was watching on YouTube TV and turned it off to run an errand. When I got back home and turned the game back on it was showing about 20 minutes behind real time. I keep forgetting that YouTubeTV does that.

So now the Huskers are getting horrendously hosed.

Mizzou is not good. aggy handled them, but I don’t think that makes them a top 10 team. Honestly, the SEC is not as strong as it’s been promoted.

I think that’s been true for a couple of years now. Their record out of conference last year was pretty mediocre. I think the conferences best OOC win last year was Missouri over K-State and that took a 60 yard FG on the final play.
I think there’s only 2 or 3 legit contenders on the SEC - us, Georgia and Bama. Everyone else is getting bumped on reputation. LSU lost to a 3-3 USC for crying out loud. Mizzou is a fraud, Ole Miss is a fraud too. Believe it or not, aggy might be the 4th best team in the conference but that could also be Tennessee or even Vanderbilt.

Crap Miami clinches it with TD.52-38 4 mins left

Not so fast. Louisville just scored. 54 sec left
Could onside work?

Is Casey Thompson in the doghouse? Injured?

He was no world-beater but he was easily better here than either Arnold or Hawkins have been for OU this year. Granted he had Bijan Robinson and Xavier Worthy around to help, he also had a pretty lousy offensive line and it was a 5-7 squad that didn't have much locker room cohesion or senior leadership.

Has he just regressed since then?

After watching ou, I have no doubt that BV did not prepare them for the SEC. My guess is that with the team they fielded last week and today could easily compete in the Big XII. Oh well hope they find an answer soon, because I see them only winning 1 more game this year and that’s to their cupcake non conference against Maine.

Injured is what was posted here elsewhere

I’m not a big fan of teams using a ton of alternate uniforms, but I have to say that the uniforms Illinois is wearing today against Michigan are spectacular in their old-schoolness.

It’s a 1920s theme, to commemorate the game 100 years ago when Red Grange scored six TDs against Michigan. Their helmets are individually painted to look like the old leather helmets from way back in the day, and the front of their dark-blue jerseys have the broad orangey-brown vertical stripes that I’ve seen in old photos.

(Ignore Danny Kanell’s comment—clearly he doesn’t know what cool retro looks like.)

Bad series for Bama after they intercepted Tenn backup QB . . . Tenn then got some offense going but then their starting QB threw another pick deep in Alabama territory
