Great win by LSU (although I did say LSU would need 30+ points to win); unfortunately a possible great loss for college football if Alabama makes the CFP and doesn't play LSU in the semi-final.

Of course, if LSU gives up again against aggy, but goes onto win the $EC, Alabama will be the higher-ranked team and LSU might not even make the CFP.

You hear a lot of stuff out of fall camp, much of which never materializes.

Last year Ryan Clark, former LSU (and NFL) LB, was very critical of Burrow, said he had a noodle arm and wasn’t good enough for LSU to win the SEC. Upset a lot of LSU fans. This fall he attended a scrimmage and then tweeted that he was wrong about Burrow. Said he had an NFL arm and could make all the throws.

That made me sit up and pay attention.

Yeah that’s a big problem. I wouldn’t bet Auburn straight up but they might make it interesting. Amazing D line, against LSU they had 3 down lineman, one LB as a spy, and dropped 7 into coverage. Not many teams can do that and still stop the run and get pressure on the QB. Took LSU a while to adapt.

Bad news for Auburn is that game is on tape, so Bama will likely be prepared for it.
 
Do not think Baylor beats OU, but...a funny/great thought...If OU loses to ISU and Baylor and we win out its Baylor vs UT for the Big12C?!?!?

Told the wife before the snap go to OT. No reason to put the entire game on one play. That's what you do when the other team is way better like Mack did against Clemson. But in this case you got a legit chance to win in OT. They did mug the receiver though. If the throw was on time, think he completes it anyway. It was a little slow to get there and gave the OU dback time to get his hands in and pull the WR's arms down. Really at that point had no chance. Total crap by the officials though. If it's a penalty on the 1st play of the game, it's a penalty there.

I think LSU won't lose until the national championship game, or win it all. That offense does what it needs to do to win. They go up early and then just answer score for score....
 
Watched DVR of game and to my mind:
1: those are really good teams
2: how did we stay with LSU?
3: Ala has an incredible OL, Tua could just stand back there several times
4: Gary Danelson sucks
5: the committee will always find a way to excuse an Ala loss.
6: Burrow is really good
7: wish we had #22 - either one
8: I think Ala wins next matchup

I don't think you're right there. Gut says if LSU wins the SEC even if they drop one will still be ranked above Bama. LSU beats them head to head plus winning the conference will stay ahead of them.

LSU will be 1 unless they give up against aggy again. Alabama will be the 1 loss team in the playoff (assuming Clemson and the Big 10 champ stay undefeated) and 4th seed. 1 plays 4 in the semifinals.

Before a single snap of this season took place, the name on the front of the jersey all but ensured them a playoff berth if they finish with 1 loss.

Later this year Auburn vs Bama @ Auburn....If refs don't help Bama this one could go either way. Tigers have a great defense ( held LSU to 23 ). They could hold Bama under that and since Bama's defense isn't great this year Auburn could put up enough for the upset.
