OTHER GAMES

Saban was on during halftime of the Michigan - Purdue game saying they deserve to be in the playoffs because Bama only had 2 losses and played 5 of the top 10 teams. Sadly, they will probably get into the playoffs with TCU’s loss today.

My view on this is, if a team doesn’t even make their conference championship and win it, they shouldn’t be in the playoffs. That’s rewarding mediocrity. Conference winners only.

And there they are, the SEC pimps.

Bama just doesn’t deserve it this year.

The fighting Mack Browns are starting to take an *** kicking at the hands of Cade Klubnik-led Clemson. Now 32-10 Tigers in the 3rd qtr.

Fake flea flicker by Purdue. The running back faked the pitch back to the QB, then he just kept the ball. Good for 20+ yards.

Dabo with trick play to go for two on PAT. I got it at -22 1/2. Maybe Dabo got 21 1/2, although I'm sure that the Sons of Klem aren't through scoring.

Got board with the other games.

I'm watching replay of Horns vs Bailor on LHN. Bijan putting on an incredible show!

First game they subbed Klubnik in, he didn't really have much to do with the turnaround, throwing only 3 passes (2 of them right at the LOS) vs about 30 runs, almost none of which Syracuse could stop.

But last night their best rusher, besides Klubnik himself, was Will Shipley with 18 yards. The passing game completely carried the offense.

Jimmy G hurt early. Brock Purdy, Mr. Irrelevant, in for him and throws 2 TD passes in first half. . . .

from Nfl.com after the game--
"Brock Purdy answers the call. San Francisco lost Jimmy Garoppolo to a season-ending foot injury early in this highly anticipated affair, forcing head coach Kyle Shanahan to look down the depth chart to the 2022 draft's Mr. Irrelevant, Purdy. Instead of leaving the 49ers in a state of offensive irrelevance, Purdy led them to victory with a stunning performance. Purdy operated Shanahan's offense as if he'd spent multiple seasons in it, completing 25 of 37 passes for 210 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Each of San Francisco's two touchdown drives came in methodical fashion, with Purdy engineering nine- and 11-play scoring marches and capping each with short passes for six points. Stepping into this game without expecting to participate would likely have left most quarterbacks looking lost, or at least slightly unprepared. Purdy, though, appeared ready for the moment and delivered, giving 49ers fans hope their latest replacement under center can keep them afloat."

Okay, I know we all hate Baker Mayfield, but he just arrived at his new team (the Rams) Tuesday night so he had almost no time to learn anything about the offense, and yet he leads them on a 98 yard drive with a minute and a half left in the game ending in a perfectly thrown TD pass to win by one point. Pretty darn amazing.

Didn't see the game but read that it was Raider penalties that lost the game.
Mayfield was able to take advantage.
It appears there was little offense displayed on either side.
And Mayfield is still a punk-*** chump. :)

I hope no one here had lots of $$$ on the Cowboys to cover the spread on playing the worst team in the NFL today, at home.

I would have thought that 17 points would have been a cakewalk.
