OTHER GAMES

Worster,

In the early 50s, the old Fort Worth Press had a sports department consisting of Dan Jenkins, Tex Maule, Blackie Sherrod, & Tom Murray (publisher of the weekly Murray Go Round, which he typed at the Villa Capri after Texas football games so you got it in Monday's mail).

Mike Shropshire was the best they had in the 70s. Andy Anderson and Bud Shrake early on, but no one could write a book like Dan Jenkins could

My opinions

Michigan - like
TCU - like
Georgia - neutral
Alabama - sick and tired of them
Ohio State - dislike
LSU - like, but they don’t deserve to be in

Unless TCU gets blown out tomorrow, IMHO they should be in the CFO even with a loss. I don’t see how a 2 loss team displaces them, even Alabama.

So I believe that the four teams are already set:

GA
MI
TCU
OSU

If TCU loses, they're out, IMO. So they need to win. Utah will not make the final 4. No way, Jose. If chalk holds, it'll be Georgia, Michigan, TCU and OSU, which I'm guessing will piss the Michigan people off to no end. If TCU loses I think they'll give it to Bama. I'm ecstatic that USC is now out!!!!!!

The old FW Press. Delivered in the afternoon. Those were the days. On another note Worster, I don't mean to be picky but we lost to TCU in 1967 in Austin. So that 13-3 game you referenced must have been 1966. I'm guessing I was there, but I don't remember that one at all. Funny how I remember all the losses that decade, but only the truly epic victories.

Wow, thats what I get for thinking USC was real NC threat with their offense. Lincoln Riley still has to find a defensive coordinator and actually pay attention to that side of the ball.

I was thinking USC was going to be NC and Williams was going to win the Heisman (,he still may) but the Utes slammed that door.
haha.
it's a good thing I am not a gambling man.

Agreed. No 2 loss team has even been selected yet.

Just thinking if TCU looses tomorrow would it not be crazy if Ohio State and Alabama squeak back in the top four?

Shouldn't happen unless they get blown out. Resumes would be comparable (not conference camps , ranked wins) but TCU would have two more wins and one fewer loss.
