Another pretty good set of games as teams enter the meat of their conference schedules, while we sit on the sidelines this week.
USC v. Washington--this will go a long ways to show us whether USC is on the way back, or still a dumpster fire. I'd expect UW to prevail, but it seems the PAC-12 is the most unpredictable conference so you never know.
Tech v. Oklahoma--we all know who will win, but I'm interested in seeing how many points Bowman and crew can put on OU's porous defense. Is OU's defense just sort-of bad or off the charts terrible?
Virginia v. Notre Dame--the Domers have much more talent, and #18 UVA has come out of nowhere onto the national scene (basketball is still months away Cavs...). UVA has a realistic chance to knock the Domers far out of the playoff scene.
Washington St. v. Utah--Oh that wacky PAC. The pirate should have his crew up for this one after dropping a turnover-filled stinker to an awful UCLA team. But he's facing the solid Utes who come off an embarrassing setback to USC. Go Leach!
Rutgers v. Michigan--Michigan should bounce back from an epic butt whoopin by Wisconsin against a typically weak Rutgers team. Nothing but winning out can get Harbaugh off the hot seat.
KSU v Okla. State--nobody notices, but KSU has slipped back into the top-25. This should be a good test of the upper middle of the Big 12, and a battle of coaching wits.
aTm v. Arkansas--the ags are mediocre. The swine are terrible. Even if the ags win (but only by 10 pts or less) the meltdown will continue in College Station. I'm interested to see if Mond and the ags' O can get in gear against this lousy pig D.
ISU v. Baylor--a likely hard fought battle between decent to pretty-good also rans in the conference. I'm rooting for ISU here.
Northwestern v. Wisconsin--Wisconsin continues to roll and make their case for playoff contention. NW is pretty good, but Wisconsin is dominant.
Clemson v. North Carolina--Mack Brown's Tarheels could make this one interesting. A real trap game for Clemson if they're not hitting on all cylinders.
An Ohio State Uniiversity v. Nebraska--Buckeyes steamroll the Huskers. NU fans start to look back longingly to their Big-12 days.
UCLA v Arizona--an unpredictable chaotic sh!t show between two bottom dwellers in the PAC-12--both of whom are dangerous despite their lowly current status.
KU v. TCU--this will go a long ways to showing us whether Patterson's Frogs are still a force to be reckoned with or relegated to the bottom tier.
Holy Cross v. Syracuse--if anyone is reading this in Central/Upstate NY, please go punch the Syracuse AD for scheduling these lightweights.
(Tickets are available as low as $2)
SMU v. South Florida--Buchele beats up on poor Charlie.
Miss St v. Auburn--A classic Southern slug fest. Auburn punches harder and has more horses. Auburn wears MSU down for the W.
