Clarissa was not at all like Riley. In action and especially not in attitude.
I attended rival high schools with Clarissa in San Antonio. My sister was her chief rival in track and volleyball so I got to know her pretty well. We attended UT at the same time. She was competitive but I don't remember her ever being out of control like Riley. And I am sure Conradt would have benched her had she acted out like that.
My point was that Clarissa was not only the greatest womens player I have ever seen she was pure class. She carried herself with grace and dignity. The metaphor was that just thinking about Clarissa will erase the Riley thug from your memory.
