Actually the libs would love to have either Palin or Bachman because they would be a sure win for the O. Do you think they were saying Palin this Palin that for the last year because they were afraid of her? Now they are doing the same with Bachman because she is not ready and is the weakest link.

They neither are ready for president but are great at teh state level in my opinion.(that includes federal house of representatives and senate)

Palin and Bachmann do scare the left, but not because they have any chance to become President. Both of them are attractive, charismatic, self made Christian women who have succeeded in politics without needing any support from the left or the policies they embrace. These women are a beacon to American women everywhere that demonstrates that feminism is a concept that is as easily practiced by conservative women in their own way as it is by liberal women. And by the looks of Palin and Bachmann, it appears it may actually be easier and more fun on the right.

What makes these women especially loathsome to the left is that they appear to be happy. How many liberal women in politics have ever left a similar impression? These women cause fear on the left because they are the front edge of a wave that is undermining a key pillar of leftist political support that has been crucial for the left over the last 50 years and that is feminism. Also, their prominence and their very presence contradicts so much that we have been told about feminism and the right. The outright hatred and rage we have seen expressed by many on the left towards these women says it all. They hate them and they fear them. But not because they might be president - that is all a canard.

These women have broken the left's claim to being the champions of women and feminism. There is no going back. The left hates them for it, but these women have led the way.

I think Obama will easily carry the minority vote. Minority voters are terrified of the current right wing. I think this will be the difference in a close race

Seriously? Clinton got like 90% of the African American vote? Obama got like 95%. I think the R's can gat better than 10% from the intelligent folks that realize that his economic policies are the suck.
