OL

Serious question, why can we not run the ball? I recollect Sark say we are a running team - ha - was he joking? I mean did we break a 100 today? It was Vanderbilt ya know.
104 yards on the ground, Wisner with 79 of said yardage

Cannot have a running game with half the RB's out.
?? Half out, not sure that’s accurate. Regardless a good OL can make mediocre rb’s look good and we definitely have better than mediocre caliber backs. On another note I don’t think Blue is completely back from where he was prior to injury. I think he scores on that long run if no injury. He seemed to have an extra gear before getting hurt but I’m known to be optimistic about physical capabilities.

OK, change from half the RBs out to "first and second stringers" out. You get to the same conclusion.

Good observation. If the OL is blowing the defense three yards off the line of scrimmage, the RB gets a three-yard gain just getting back to the linemen. If the move the defensive line back and open a hole for the RB, there are some nice gains to be made.
Texas has a top-notch OL. They do need to continue to work on assignments, as well as reducing the number of false-start and holding penalties.

Cannot have a good running game when you can only run with any effectiveness to the left side of the field or when your line regularly gets called for holding.

Agreed. The left he has been less than stellar in any of our 3 conference games. So many mistakes and holding calls. Unless this get shored up, we are going to struggle mightily at Arkansas and A&M. This is not what I expected as I thought the OL would be our strength throughout the season but they haven’t performed that way in conference.
