We know what they would've done with it because the coaches mentioned have all had at least comparable talent.
When's the last time stoops won a national title? or Urban??? Mack should've had 2 in 5 years. Fate was cruel with the Colt injury. Does anyone doubt that Colt would've beat bama had he played the entire game - or that saban would've lost that game had the situation been reversed with him playing an inexperienced freshman???
So saban has had more luck, I'll grant ya that. In addition to that gimme, bama was gifted another so called title by being given a second shot at a team that had beaten them at home over a team that really deserved that shot.
All good coaches, but with a couple of small twists of fate, Mack wouldn't be so villified lately.
We won 9 games last year & took 2 others to the wire. I'm looking forward to the upcoming season.
ESPN needs to get the LHN on DirecTV. When that happens (eventually) it will constitute a complete reversal of fortune. (Esp. Re recruiting - which other than 3 high profile desertions isn't really going that bad either)
