10 TO to 9 for OK State is so uncharacteristic of us. That’s probably the most disturbing stat for me at the half.
 
Did anyone else hear the ref threaten vic with a warning? It’s such BS that they have that power, but can’t be held accountable themselves for extremely poor officiating. Vic has every damn right to be pissed at them this game.
 
I’m not sure but I think the ref have a Texas player a warning (Matharu?) and Vic said who are you arguing with or something and the ref said nobody it was a warning but I only heard bits & pieces and that was my first impression of what happened. Matharu is frustrated with the calls and rightly so

Yeah I had to rewind and listen to it again. I think you’re right.
 
Rori please do not start taking charges! STOP IT! Rori you are a great player. You do not need to take charges. Play your defense and keep moving your feet. You're a great defensive player without taking charges.

And yes I'm adamant about these young ladies taking charges. Just stop it! These kids can severely hurt themselves.
 
Watching it on ESPN+, because of the small attendance, I could hear Vic yell. At one point, an OSU player weaves between three of our players standing still, misses the bucket, but get's "fouled". I hear Vic screaming, "You're going to reward them for being out of control?!"
 
Hmmmm ... it's going to be an interesting conference run. So many good teams. I was more impressed with OSU than I expected to be, since they are at the bottom of the standings. They played really hard. We did what we had to, but not a great game for us. These Big 12 coaches know us so well. Warren had the best game. I was glad to see Hunter get a lot of minutes, though she didn't touch the ball much. Her shooting wasn't very good, but I think she had a couple of assists. I would have liked to see Lattimore a little more. She probably would have gotten some rebounds.
 
I thought KSU would beat Baylor, from what I've been reading. They may be the toughest team to beat in the Big 12, though no one will be easy. Mittie is a super good coach.
 
I don't think Jim Littel gets as much credit for his coaching abilities as he deserves. He seems to always have a good game plan, and I've noticed it not only against us but against Baylor as well. It just comes down to a matter of whether or not he has the personnel that can execute it for an entire game.

Got to give OSU credit today, they played really hard and went right at us. I'm glad we pulled this one out, but it sure wasn't much fun to watch. We'll need a way better effort next Sunday, and hopefully we'll have a full team.

On a side note... where'd the Big XII find those three stooges who were reffing the game today? There were numerous bad calls both ways and some horrendous. Then again that's about par for the course in WCBB.

They have to play better.
 
The girls look really sluggish but on the pregame interview With Vic on the radio he said he had only had 6 girls that practiced the last 3 days which included Rori and Shay Holle. Plus he said he had a couple out for the game. Obviously an understatement. Ready to see Aaliyah Moore back. At least she was on the bench.
Okie State had some really good guard play. Surprised they have a 5-6 record. As I had previously stated the Big 12 is going to be a gauntlet. Wouldn’t be surprised to see 8 teams form the Big 12 made the tournament this year!
 
They hadn’t played a game in 10 days, had some days off during that time and apparently what practice they did have was down to 6 players. All in all, I think they played pretty good after a rough start. I watched parts of 3 other games beforehand and all three seemed very sluggish to me. It’s a conference road win.
I really thought the refs were crappy and it kept slowing down their momentum. None of the three looked familiar to me.

3. This was funny. After Joanne's layup, Hunter wants to chest bump her and Joanne does it half-heartedly because she's like, "Ooops, we gotta get back on defense!"
