9 innings every game? Nope, we haven't had a starter go 9 innings at all this year except Friday night. I expect Austin Wood to go at least 7 today though with a big lead.

And it does not look good to recruits if you are over using them as freshmen. Parents will not look highly on this.

Graham at Rice got in trouble doing this, ruining arms and Gus definitely gained the reputation of ruining arms. Augie does not need that Rep.

The other poster implied that he should have held the 8-2 lead. Well he was out of the game and other pitchers were giving up the runs. I asked if he thought all pitchers had to go 9 innings, because it seemed like he was blaming the 8th inning on him
