OKC stuns Mavs in opener

They're just so old. I mean look at them... they're.... old...

Yesterday's game is just a microcosm of what this entire season boiled down to. Feed it to Dirk, and when he's off, game over... let's get Deron Williams in the offseason. That's been the same song and dance since January.

I guess on the bright side, OKC looked like they would have beat anyone by double digits last night, so there's that.

Normally you need 2 superstars or high calibur all-star players to have a team good enough to win a title. The Mavs have Dirk but they don't have that other guy. Chandler could be viewed as that guy last year and they should never have let him go. They should have done whatever it took to resign him and then had their chance at back to back or a three peat. Instead they are possibly being swept in the 1st round by a team that does have 2 superstars.

The Thunder got it going from outside finally as I predicted but the Mavs did not and that is why we saw the blowout. Mavs are a team that can turn around the next game and win by 20 and shoot well. But regardless they aren't going to win this series.

I was hoping for a more competitive game last night, but I still can't say I'm stunned.

The Mavs did look older than the hills.

Harden was a beast for OKC tonight. Of course the Mavs being stuck in the mud on defense made those whiz bang drives even more dramatic.

I've never seen Dirk look so gassed. He was moving like he had a thunderbolt stuck up his *** in the second half..
