BYU as a possible 11th or 12th member to the Big 12? Here is a more detailed look at the complexity of the issues involving BYU's move to a conference:

With demands like these, how the heck does BYU expect to join ANY conference in this country?

BYU is going to need to have an epiphany. They may need to discover another set of golden plates up in Syracuse, or whereever. They are truly lone dogs out there right now.

Except for geography (being west, not east), BYU is probably the second best add out there (after ND), by far, if you can work through their myriad religious/financial issues. Those issues do appear to be intractable at this time, but maybe BYU will find the light of truth and righteousness in the coming weeks and months ahead?

Can someone please send them some new golden plates revealing the words "Big 12"? In the meantime, I'm not holding my breath over BYU. I just don't see it happening.
