***Official TX v Oakland Thread***

Halftime...8 pt lead...not to bad. My god, their coach looked like frank martin for a min...was going ballastic when that guy turned the ball over with a double dribble
 
Decent first half for our 'Horns.

On the negative side, Oakland probably plays the worst defense of any team we've seen all season. Every possession is an "Ole!" to the rim, yet we aren't finishing as well as we should.
 
They have some pretty good shooters and don't look like they're going away. I just hope we don't get into one of those protracted offensive slumps.
 
Texas shot 58.8% in the first half to 45.5% for Oakland including only 3-12 from 3pt range. If history repeats itself as it usually does, the offense will drop to the 30's for the first 5-10 min of the second. The defense needs to step up to start the second half.
 
I thought the same thing when I saw our percentage was over 50%. Hell, it would be 65% if we could make dunks/layups. Not impressed with Oakland's defense so far. They will have to tighten considerably for us to shoot poorly. I still think we win this game comfortably.
 
Oakland is a pretty good team. Texas played a decent first half but they will have to step it up a notch in 2nd half because Oakland is the 2nd best scoring team and third best shooting team in the nation.

So far, I gotta agree, at least in this game.
 
Why can't our guys run a give and go when we have numbers going down the court...instead we miss 2 layups because we play selfish and can't dish the ball when we've got numbers on a fast break
 
Total game shooting from 59% to end the first half down to 48% in just the first 6 min of the half. The D has stepped up as Oakland is also down.

Come on Horns!! Get 'er done!
 
Anyway TT puts us on his back and carries us to a NC like Carmello did with syracuse when they beat us in the final 4?

Ah, the Fantasy Island game of what if's that can't and won't happen. Nobody knows, they can only guess. Who the hell knows other than dreaming? Silly goose.
 
I don't know about this ignorance stuff, but I am not devoid of talent. I can watch, ***** and type all at the same time.
