Since there are no threads offering what Obama has accomplished, thought I would start one.

I'll start:

Accomplishment 1:

improved the legacies of GWB and Jimmy Carter. First Potus to have US credit rating downgraded, first potus to never get a budget passed, first potus to have 1 trillion dollar deficits every year in office.
 
He was President when OBL was found. Here are the details:

Good try though. Of the few things I thought would be posted, this was number 1. I do give him some credit for being in charge when our military found him, but he did not pull the trigger. Next?
 
Rather than make this a partisan jab-fest, it might be interesting to just list them:

1) Health Care Legislation
2) Auto Industry Bailout
3) Draw down in Iraq
4) Repealed "Don't ask Don't Tell"
5) Signed into law the Dodd-Frank financial reform act
6) Participated in a Euro-lead coalition supporting Libyan Rebels
7) Nationalized the student loan market
8) Stimulus 1, Stimulus 2, etc.
9) Encouraged Sanctions on Iran as a response to potential nuclear proliferation
10) Signed into law the Credit Card Reform Act
11) Put Sotomayor and Kagan on the Supreme Court
12) Ended the Space Shuttle program
13) Put in place notable alternative energy investments and subsidies
14) Increased regulation of for-profit colleges
15) Presided over the gulf of Mexico BP response

Now their are going to be a lot of views on the appropriateness and effectiveness of any of these. It is a list, however.

Leave your 401 k alone, continue contributing and it will likely be cut in half again in the next ten years. Then it will rebound back up and hopefully grow a little. Dollar cost average investing over the long term is a wonderful thing.

However, if the dollar is continually de-valued by the Fed's printing press, you better hope it grows at double digits or you will actually have lost money in your 401k.
 
Great list by DFWAG. Those would probably be the extent of "accomplishments." And as he stated, the quality of these accomplishments are truly up for debate.

The point is nobody from the left comes on to tout the President's accomplishments, just negative posts about Romney and how GWB was at fault. Heck, look at the bragging about how his 401k doubled. I guess it was just stagnant over the last ten years before Obama?

The entire campaign of the President is to divert attention away from the fact that the economy continues to falter, unemployment continues to rise and the debt is growing out of control. Facts are facts, but let's all try to catch Romney in a gaffe....

I swear, he is so far over his head. Someone here please explain how redistribution will help the poor? Hell, he's only taking from the rich to give to his cronies like Unions and green energy companies such as Solyndra and it all funnels back to his campaign. Not even mentioning how it pays for all his lavish vacations. But really taking from one person and giving to another is just flat out stealing and hiding behind his power to do it.
 
Please go on! Obama was without a doubt President when OBL was killed by Seal Team 6. Did he pull the trigger?

Accomplishments are what we are looking for. Let's give him credit for authorizing the obvious. Anything else?
 
Open your mind and especially your ears. Because someone disagrees with the President and his policies, it does not mean I hate him.

He was President when OBL was eliminated. If he knew where he was all along, why didn't he kill him his first day in office? Let's imagine that even if President Obama solely tracked him down personally and pulled the trigger. He still has few if any true accomplishments as President. It is easy to argue, given the invasion of our embassies as well as the murder of our ambassador, that the Middle East is more unstable today than 4 years ago.

So once again, provide some reasons why Obama deserves four more years given high unemployment, record deficits and the US under attack in multiple countries.
 
Do you really think any president wouldnt have said "ok" when asked if he wanted to go after Osama after they found out where he was? The framework to find him was already in place, dating back to intelligence from before Obama became prez. A 2 year old would have said "do it". Lauding over "killing OBL" is very overrated. The credit goes to the intelligence community, not the potus.
 
So let me get this straight. According to the left, business owners should not be credited with building their own businesses but Obama should be credited for killing Osama?
