Obama gives immunity to illegals

Clean - I have a slightly different but just as cynical take. I think the Obama campaign has realized that up until the gay marriage issue hit the political scene, he was running on the status quo. That works really well when the opponent is really scary (Romney is a centrist if anything) or the status quo is really good (it's not). He also knows that there is a really good chance the economy does not get better. His only possible way to campaign for a change to the status quo (which he is great at) is through social issues.

Now is where it gets tricky. He can motivate his base and attempt to pull a lot of people like myself into the fold on social issues. BUT, he knows that he will alienate large segments of the Hispanic vote by doing so. He does this to bring Hispanics back into the mix and then continues to go hard left on social issues since its his only way to run on change. Or maybe I am thinking more steps ahead than Obama.....
