NSD II - RevolUTion18

I don't put much faith in the star rating system and therefore, could care less about the per star average. I've seen way too many players not live up to their star rating while low star players, like Colt excelled. The only recruiting rating system to be believed is the one four years after the recruiting process.

That said this class passes the eyeball test, big time. Lots of big athletic guys in positions of need.

Well the star system is still a factor in the rankings that place Texas at #2 or #3 depending on which service. I've not seen anyone play. I think it's very clear that most people want 5-star players. Yes, Colt was an outlier. But look at the teams that win year in and year out. How many 3-stars do they chase down?

Now that NSD is almost over, I'd like to pose this:

What are you most excited about?
Disappointed by?

7. Travis West!! :smile1:

speaking of aggy, they just lost Waddle to Bama. They had their hearts set on him.

Since Herman said Texas signed 8 to complete its 2018 class, are we out of the running on Jackson? Nobody seems to know what his plan is.

Some ou bubba took a swipe at a high school kid today

All I got to say about this class is what a famous coach once said "break out those wide angle lens, boys, cuz I'm about to smile!".

Here is the 247 list
We were just squeak above 300 (a great #)
And Alabama shows even lower here

Worster pretty much nailed it.

If there is any disappointment it is in that the Aggies didn't tank ... but really, since they helped us shut the door on out of state powers ... it's a a euphoric sort of disappointment.

Holland --

Forget my post from this morning. Tom Herman and Texas are back from the dead in this recruitment. The Longhorns are making a strong push for Jackson as we speak, and it looks like they're making some progress. We don't expect him to announce for at least another couple of hours, so this one is getting really interesting. We'll have more details soon.

More, this is common verbiage for him if you are unfamiliar --

I want to put in a CB so bad, but I feel like y'all would hate me if Texas doesn't pull it off. We're tracking a development with it, if it happens all put it in. Just as long as y'all don't torch me. Know that it is still very fluid.

Keondre Coburn responding to B. Mayfield:
Yeah you right I don’t know what I’m stepping into but all I can do is work my *** off and prepared myself to beat y’all and anybody else that step my way to be a cold player like your self

we still gone beat y’all @baker_mayfield6

^^^I think Keondre got the best of the exchange. Keondre isn't gonna back down from anybody. I like his attitude-- a lot.
