is right around the corner. That's when we get the first look at our current team in game conditions. We get a short preview during the Oct 22 open practice. There's lots of questions about the team that will be interesting to find the answers to.

I think we will run even more than last season. We got at least two proven gunners in Erika and Kat. Our inside defense and scoring should be improved but who starts? Lindsey for sure but does Earnie start at PF or does Gayle take that spot? Raven should have one starting spot locked up and likely Carla as well. What about that fifth starting spot?

We seem to have a nice mix of players able to play a couple of positions that will keep depth from being a problem. This is a very experienced group of players with some talented freshmen coming in. We lost one starter and one player that played some solid minutes. The core of last season's NCAA playoff team is back, along with raised expectations.

Can't wait to see and meet the team on Oct. 22 and to watch the season start on Nov. 9.

Didn't see it on the schedule, Rexy. Maybe it's a scrimmage like the men are having that are not open to the public.

It would be great if there was another game on the 2nd. It's kinda strange to see only one exhibition listed.

You are RIGHT, Babhorn!!! I had THAT game listed on my calendar for November 2nd - not November 9th!!! So, there is not a game November 2nd! My bad!

I'm going crazy waiting on the WCBB season. I can't wait to see how Gail handles the freshman and how she rotates them into the mix. Erika is healthy and ready to go so I'm chopping at the bit to see how Coach works her in. The veterans have one year under their belt with Gail and now how will they respond? Starting 5? I don't know - B-Raven, A-Lindsey, Cortijo - for sure. The other 3 spots are up for grabs and we'll quickly find out who improved over the off season.

I'm just ready for some BB.
