No AC in visitors locker room.......

That is a weasel cya response.
I hope someone keeps trying to get answers
Ed knows who he talked to

I hope

Did Oregeron say HE talked to anyone press it the generic “we”?

I would bet it is the latter and some assistant coach or manager that wants to keep his position will cover the story or be looking for work

That lard *** has shown who he is and what he is. Credibility is a serious issue in East Baton Rouge Parish.

I have a friend who was a guest in the la tech locker room before the game and at halftime and he said the ac was working fine. Coach o is a lying sleeze bag making excuses.

This is what Orgeron said:

"First of all, I called Louisiana Tech, and they told us about it," Orgeron said Monday. "So we did some things in the dressing room that were better. It wasn't great, but it was better. At least we had air in there. They didn't have air. We had some blowers in there. I don't think that caused as much as going out there and having to play 93 plays on defense. I think that had a lot to do with it."

I am listening to The Horn right now and here is the story Chad Hastings relayed. He says he talked to someone (he would not say who) who knows the whole story, and what Coach O was told by the La Tech equipment manager was something like, "It's pretty hot down there, you may want to bring in some extra equipment if you think it will be a problem." Not necessarily that the locker room is hot, but that AUSTIN is hot.

When Ed says, "They didn't have air" he was referring to La Tech. It doesn't mean air conditioning, it means air like fans and blowers and such. La Tech did not have any, and he is saying we did and it helped. The Louisiana media was only too happy to paint UT as being petty and shutting off the a/c, so nobody followed up to clarify.

Chad also said his source had family that was in the LSU locker room before the game and they reported it was uncomfortably cold in there due to the extra fans and such that LSU was using.

So take that for what is is worth.

Rod Babers brought up a really good point that says this is a bunch of bull about no a/c: No tweets from the players complaining about it or even talking about it. He contends if the players are not talking about it on social media, it is a non-issue.

Okay, lesson learned on my part.
I jumped to conclusions. I apologize, I was going off the words of Pixie Dixie (or whatever) and then the media ...both prove to be unreliable.
The poster name of Dixie should have stopped me in my tracks. My mistake

Can we now please, in the name of all that is holy, move on to something else?

Dion,

Do I have to stop calling him a fat chicken **** coonass?

:hookem2:

I think Ed did all that to take the heat off of all the LSU people calling players and issuing death threats to a coach PLUS using fake injuries to stop play.

All of them are very classless.

NR You were only going on what you thought was an honorable coach saying there was no ac.No apology needed. well by you

I notice Dixie has not returned to apologize.

Still, Coach O could have clarified his statement after this became a "thing" but he has chosen not to because, IMO, it gives him cover for all the "fake injury" talk.

Phil.

He will not issue a statement, because the intent was to make Herman and our program look bad to recruits and their families.

I have had a lot of bad experiences in work and play down there in Lousiana.

I think we all know by now, even the Tigah Fans, that this was a fake news attempt at a fake excuse for all of their fake injuries/cramps when they did not like the pace of our offense -- that blew up in their faces and has deservedly become the stuff of memes
Right?

It's actually kind of weird how little has been said and made widely publicized about this since the initial statements.

Seems to me, the on the field pre-game intimidation attempts, multiple fake injuries / cramps during the game and A/C Gate after the game all add up to thuggish and sleazy actions to aid LSU winning the game at all costs.

Top that off with LSU fans harassing & threatening tweets and calls to our coaches, players, staff the week before the game.... a lot of class, all of it LOW.

Agree Stat
I would like some follow up and questions asked of EdO.
I am surprised Belmont has not said more.

Who was the LSU fan on here who said it was a tradition fir LSU fans to call and text the opposing team? That is sick.

This whiny assed crap the LSU team is putting out is to deflect that they were gassed in the 2nd half and couldn't stop the Horns moving the ball. They can't admit they were not in as good shape as the competition. I call the whole story a bunch of ********.

never heard a peep from any administration, players etc from LsWHO (or La Tech for that matter)--something fishy is going on in Denmark as they say...

So as some of you know, my dad has worked for Texas Football and Texas Baseball since as long as I can remember, and I'm about to be 35. He has dabbled in a little bit of everything in terms of game day set up, and knows every last nook and cranny of DKR and Disch-Faulk.

Over the years he has told me that, more than once, visiting schools have commented on how well Texas treated them in terms of facilities and accommodations.

I asked him about Saturday and he said that when he went into the visiting locker room the AC was working just fine.

Louisiana Tech head coach Skip Holtz weighs in on whether Texas had AC in visitor locker room: “I do not know the answer. I wasn’t the one who talked to anybody in Baton Rouge. I don’t remember it being like a sauna, and I don’t remember it being cool.”

Damn! Skip Holtz sounds like the old Sergeant Scholtz of Hogan's Heroes fame..."I know nothing! Nothing!"

Skip Holtz sounds like the old Sergeant Scholtz of Hogan's Heroes fame..."I know nothing! Nothing!"

He said enough to put the LSU Conspiracy Theorists' position in doubt. It was neither particularly hot nor particularly cool, and if anyone at LTU contacted LSU, it wasn't him or anyone he knows of.

I used to like Coach O because he seemed like sort of an "underdog". USC let him go simply because he was not "their kind". He seemed a good fit for LSU, but even the Tigers seem to think they can do better. So I liked him because of what he was up against.

I am now out on him. He could shut this whole thing down in a second by clarifying that he did not say we did not have air conditioning (which he in fact did not) and that Texas treated them just fine, but he won't do that because the controversy serves him. I have never seen a team be so butt hurt after a win. The entire national conversation on this is that "Coach O says Texas had no air conditioning in the visitors locker room" (just try a Google search and see what you get) which is not true. We are getting slandered here and I am pissed about it.
