NFL Draft

Any idea why Sanders hasn't been picked yet? A guy named Tip from Illinois was picked before him. I thought he would be a guaranteed 3rd round. Whoever picks him from now on is getting a hell of a value.

LC,

Please tell the young man congratulations and great job.

:hookem2:

I'm old and lose track of time. Is he a sophomore or junior?

FWIW, only a guess: Sanders is a little underweight and needs to work on his strength & blocking to handle the TE duties in the NFL.

He is a tremendous talent receiving and getting yards after the catch. So he will be drafted, and he will get his shot. He's a hard worker and I expect him to have a long and successful pro career.

Sanders tested very poorly at the Combine, His bench press was woefully poor. Additionally, some believe that he is not a proficient or willing blocker.

I personally believe that he will now be a steal, but he does need to hone his areas of deficiency.

Sanders kind of reminds of Jay Novacek. Not a great blocker, but anything tossed in his direction will be caught and the YAC will be beneficial to the offense. Unless I had a glaring need at another position, I'd pounce on him post haste.

I'm with Falcon's owner Arthur Blank...in wondering why his GM just signed Kirk Cousins to a $180 million contract and then used the 8th pick on a quarterback? At least Jerry Jones is spending his own money.
So to be clear...ATL owner messed up by giving his GM a blank check.

I'll show myself out...

Who do you think will surprise folks? Although there may be more than one, I think it could be Watts. I just think he’s a better player than we saw in college. Perhaps at safety.
