Will define Texas' run at the Big XII and a high seed for the tourny this year:

Home for #14 aggy, at #3 Kansas, at Okie State, Home for #15 Mizzou and then at #14 aggy.

Started Big XII play with two layups, the next five will all be tough. Going 3-2 will be good, 4-1 outstanding, 5-0 and a number one seed is a distinct possibility.

I'm just not sure what is going to happen. No worse than 2-3 but I think it could be 4-1 or even 5-0. Right now, I just don't know.

3-2. No way we beat KU at Allen. Jayhawks are beatable but they just don't quit. Nebraska had em on the ropes today.

Horns will probably hold strong from wire to wire in that game, maybe even take KU to OT. Rick will undoubtedly put the ball into Cory's hands as time expires (again) and he'll chunk up a brick. Another game we "shoulda-coulda won".

We'll split 1-1 with aggy.

I'd assign the following probabilities:

5-0 5%
4-1 30%
3-2 30%
2-3 20%
1-4 10%
0-5 5%

For those of you who are mathematically inclined, the expected number of wins is 2.85 using this probability distribution. I wouldn't be too happy with 3-2, though. I really hope for 4-1. Our only loss would most likely be @ A&M. We played well at KU last few years. This may be the year we finally come away with a W.

2-3 with wins coming at home. We've got a shot at winning @ aTm and @ OK State, but we could also lose one of those home games.

These next 5 games will be huge for our tournament seeding.

Unlike last year, this team is getting better every game. I would give us a more than solid chance against any team we face.

Texas vs Aggy has been a pretty good matchup for the last several years. They got themselves a pretty good bball program over there in collie station. the only matchup I look forward to each year more than Texas-TAMU is Texas-KU.

Hook 'em horns, stomp the ags!

An impressive win over the Aggies.

J'Covan Brown seems to be settling into his role. He's not constantly frustrated any more. It's good to see that he's beginning to live up to his potential.

On the other hand, Cory Joseph seems to have lost focus on offense a little bit. Has he hit the wall? We need him to contribute more to beat KU on Saturday.

With wins over A&M and KU, this team is showing they are better than anyone thought. We could go 5-0 in this stretch. Of course with each win it becomes easier to guess how this team win do over the next five.

What a comeback win over KU on the road! It didn't seem probable at halftime.

Brown and Joseph stood out, obviously, but Balbay and Hill stepped up the defensive pressure in the second half and turned the tide. KU sucessfully slowed down Thompson and Hamilton, but didn't have the answer for Brown.

This team may not be 11 deep like last year, but each player seems to complement the rest of the team so well. It worries me that we don't have any spare parts, though. We need everyone to stay healthy.

To me the Kansas victory feels sort of like the Ohio State football win back in 2005. I didn't know how the year would end, but I felt like we turned a corner with that win even more so than in the Michigan Rose Bowl.

Congrats to the team. This is the exact opposite of last year. Congrats to Barnes as well. This is fun.

Barns has to bring them back to earth quickly without killing the spirit. The next two games will be determined by the efforts of the coaches.

... and all three by double-digit margins. This has been an amazing stretch of basketball for our 'Horns. Let's keep it goin'!

I'm not sure Mo is all that good. They have a really soft schedule and have lost to just about anyone decent except Vandy. Could be a blow out.

It wouldn't ruin my day if the team dropped one of the next two to go 4-1 over this key five-game stretch.

However, that loss better come in Collieville and not on our home court. Losing to aggy sucks, but our 'Horns are too good this year to justify losing twice at The Drum, even if incompetent refereeing had a hand in the first one (yes, that UConn game still sticks in my craw).

OK St played good defense as well. I shudder to think what a dog fight it might have been, had Page hit a few open shots he missed. Their rematch in Austin will be fun to watch. OK St isn't bad this year.

Gem, I'm not so sure the Illini are all that great either. At 14-6 they have lost to almost all of their tough opponents too. Beating tough opponents is the anomaly not the norm for both.
