One of the great sporting events I've seen (on tv) in a while, and only 2 pages on this thread. Wow!

I sat here tonight with my 13-yr old daughter who shouldn't know beans about sports -- of this kind anyway -- and we had a thrill. She's now big time into baseball. (mom and mom-in-law out of town in Calif on business). So I had a great time.

I go back to Nolan Ryan's days and many heartaches with Stros blowing chances. So this is good for me, and I really liked what I saw of the Rangers on TBS right after the end of the game. Class act. Class guys. Class manager. Class fans in the stands. Just everything about the Rangers.... AND... my daughter and I will definitely be at games next spring in Round Rock!!!!

My son called from UC Berkeley where he is a freshman (I am in SoCal). All excited, right after Vladi put us ahead for good. You see, my son has a room mate from the bay area who is a Giants fan, and his other room mate is from Connecticut, of course a Yankee fan. One roommate cried today. My son is a Rangers fan, of course. He is looking to see his other roommate also cry!! (Hope the giants do the job now and make it possible)

As for me, I never thought when I came from India as a graduate student in 1985 and picked the Rangers as my only team soon after learning baseball, that it would be a 23 year wait to see something like this. What a great day..

I am late to the HF party for the Rs, but I watched every minute of that game and postgame celebration last night. I was so happy for this team, Nolan & Chuck, Wash and perhaps most of all the fans.
