new season tickets this year?

Other than the new North End Zone area, which is FAR too pricey for me, does anyone know if any new season tickets will be available this year?

I am dying to get them, I don't care how bad the seats are. I just want IN.

And what is the deal with donating on top of the ticket price? I hear some people say you have to, and others don't?

Thanks in advance for any info.

cool...thanks for the info.

i don't plan on donating, b/c i think that is highway robbery, so if that keeps me from getting them, then so be it.

but i'll try.

thanks again.

$150, which goes to support our athletic programs, gives you a parking pass, a media guide, rights to season tickets, AND is 80% tax deductible is highway robbery?

Pretty big change of heart there?

Come on guys, it's pretty obvious that Orangesky is new & fairly naive about issues surrounding all things burnt orange.

All tickets are $385. Anything you "give" over and above is up to you, starting at $150. Any new tickets will be issued in the north end zone- since its the newest area. Given the financial trend of the nation, I would assume that many people will improve on the their seat locations, due to many unrewed tickets. Just my opinion though. You can submit your application & pre-payment via telephone (texassports box office) or in person @ Belmont. You will not know if you got tickets until late August, when you either receive your tickets or a refund.....
Did I miss anything?

Thats not the point...you werent talking about whether the school needs your money, bc obviously they dont.

You said it is highway robbery for you, indicating donating is def. not worth it for you. But people pay $150 on the market for parking passes alone.

Just saying...its worth it if you do the minimum.

In answer to the question of whether or not you can get tickets without donating, the answer is that it depends on the year. I had student season tickets until I graduated in May '05. I was able to get "real" season tickets beginning that fall without a donation, and it's a good thing I did because that was the Year of Vince, and season ticket requests skyrocketed after that. But the fact that there are more seats now may help you out if you don't intend to donate.

And the others are right about prices. Club seating in the north endzone is $2000 + the price of the ticket, but regular season tickets are $385 regardless of where you sit.
