New name for the NEZ

I am probably going to get hammered for this idea, but i was looking at SMD's pictures of construction on the NEZ and thought how intimidating the NEZ is going to be for opposing teams. In order for the NEZ to live up to its potential for crowd noise we need everyone in those new seats to be fired up and making a lot of noise for the defense.
Maybe we could come up with a name for the NEZ to put pressure on those fans, so they will know it is there responsibility to live up to the name we give the NEZ. Similar to the O ZONE label at basketball games. Or godzillatron in the SEZ.

I was thinking something along the lines of NO MANS LAND, just like the label given to the area between the French trenches and the German trenches in WW1. When the visiting team gets inside our red zone, NO MANS LAND GETS FIRED UP and sets the stage for the rest of the stadium. I really hope DKR turns into one of the most intimidating places to play in all of America.

Now the rest of you can go ahead and tell me how bad of an idea that is, but I kind of thought it was a good idea.

Naming a stadium expanstion with a name that confers people not sitting there?! Brilliant!

How about we go with "Desolation Alley" or "Sparsely Populated Corner"?

I don't think it's such a bad idea, but I'm not sold on "No Man's Land."

I would think that the men make more noise than the ladies. So it doesn't make sense to disallow an man in that section.

Hook'em

How about the Rudys BBQ Taco Bell Dell Zone? FEAR it. I don't think your idea is that bad. My season tickets are over there - row 1 - and I get sick and tired of people around me looking at me like I am crazy when I am making noise. And I'm making noise at the right times - like when we are playing DEFENSE. The same people that look at me like I'm crazy are up cheering when we are on offense. I think the best way to improve the enzone is to go ahead and close of the south endzone and sell the tickets for $10 and make them open seating. Those are the kinds of fans that will make some noise!

So long as we are thinking of names that are opposite of what we want the section to be like, how about we follow some of the names developers give to bedroom communities:

"Whisper Point"?
"Silent Meadow"?
"Lost Creek"?

It's never going to end well when you start off a thread with "Hey, let's think of a name for ____". Not the defense, the stadium, the end zone, etc.

They'll probably sell naming rights to something associated with the NEZ (Although wasn't the NEZ gate already named after someone?)

I don't think the NEZ needs a nickname.

DKR - Texas Memorial Stadium is a name that does justice to those it is dedicated to, without any cheesy sounding names. We don't need any names like "The Shoe", "The big house" or "death valley" to get people excited about football. We know our stadium, our team, and our school kick ***, and that should be enough.

Here are my suggestions:

BUILD IT AND THEY WILL COME
FREE TACO BELL TACO WITH EACH SEAT
FOR A FIST FULL OF DOLLARS

Why don't we wait and see if the NEZ actually increases the volume before we dub ourselves "one of the toughest places to play." Presently, if we fit that bill at all, it's only because our football team is good, and will kick your a**. It's certainly not because our fans are raucous.

If we could be a loud, raucous house, sans burning couches and flying beer bottles, now that would be ideal.

How 'bout "the No-Zone" as in no sound will emanate from it because it will be occupied by big donors in starched jeans or sun dresses who leave at half time.
