New Minnesota Stadium

Yeah that is a nice looking stadium. UCF's was a bunch of metal bleachers stacked on top of each other. It was fairly ******. I'm surprised it's still up.

Let's just hope Minnesota is putting some water fountains in.

pretty cool.
the scoreboard that is not centered really bugs me. I like my symmetry.
i wonder why it is off-center.
cool view of downtown, though.

Don't you think they could seat 60k if they finished that corner of the end zone?

Also, if the average temp is 41, it is just as likely to be 31 as 41 or 51. Don't kid yourself. Once Minnesota feezes, it stays frozen for months. It's ******* cold there. Not Boulder cold... I'm talking Sears Die Hard Battery tv commercial cold. My wife went to the US Figure Skating Championships there a couple of weeks ago, and it was way, WAY below zero.

Not to be entirely negative, I think that looks like a really nice stadium. Schools need stadiums that they can fill. This is definitely nicer than ISU's stadium (which I liked, btw). I think having an E-W orientation is a mistake, regardless of the view it will provide of downtown. Perhaps they want something to draw attention away from the scoreboard.

It may average 40-25 in November, but the record low is -25 and there's been as much as 24" of snow in one day. There is a reason why there are tunnels under ground connecting the buildings on campus. IT'S F'ING COLD THERE.

hornphil...he's talking about the main scoreboard...it's positioned off to one sideline, rather than the center of the end zone.

Nice looking stadium, the overall design appears very well considered. On a humorous note, does anyone think this stadium kinda looks like the one in the King of the Hill episode (where Texas played Nebraska)?

I think they have more instruments than trophies in their trophy room.

Also, is that a band facility inside the stadium?
