at first i was thinking that ricky and ced counted against the 85 man roster, but then i thought 'why would they?' since they are not a scholarship athlete at the university in any sport. is that an ncaa rule to stop guys like hicks from giving scholarships-by-proxy from minor league contracts to a ton of guys who happen to want to play football at UT? if so, that makes sense.
