The reason why we are all captivated by the Olympics again is the return of the big bad boogeyman. When it was CCCP v. USA we were riveted, the Cold War was beamed in to our living rooms for two weeks with the dulcet tones of Jim McKay.

After the Wall came down and Russia no longer funded the massive Olympic machine they used to have, well, it just seemed like UT playing Sam Houston.

Now the Chinese have set up a similar Olympic program to what the Russians had in 70s and 80s. It is again a death struggle with allegations of foul play and the works. In other words, fun.

i don't know, that track and field douchebag reporter might be worse than kramer. *******, when he interviewed our sprinter who got DQed in the 200m after thinking he medaled, i wanted to punch him in the face. "you've been DQed. how do you feel?" how the **** do you expect him to feel?
