Just looked at the league standings and out of the 15 teams in the Eastern Conference there are exactly 2 teams above .500 after the first 9 games. Statistically that seems very improbable.

The East is going to have a 34-win team make the play-in, while the West will have a team over .500 miss the play-in. We're back to peak early-2000s conference dominance.

The NBA needs to remove the first two rounds of the playoffs.
