My Problem With Barack Obama

He's simply in way over his head. Obama thinks his wealth redistribution plans are the answer to every issue, and it just doesn't work.

I almost always vote Dem because I don't like the republican ideology and the fact that the party has become a rendezvous point for bigots and religious fanatics.

But I don't think the opposition to Obama is based on race; the same people did the same thing to Clinton, even going so far as to impeach him.

My problem with Obama is that he is unprepared for the job and wildly arrogant. The fact that he chose to run for president within a year of getting elected to the Senate, if not earlier, suggests to me a level of arrogance totally uncalled for in anyone.

I thought W was unprepared. We need boring legislators with lots of experience running things. Boehner would be ok or most other experienced republicans from north of Dixie.

Gebhart would have been perfect; boring as mud but knew the ropes. He got creamed by Kerry in the primaries.

Obama is like most Ivy Leaguers; they all think they are smarter than everybody else and deserve to rule.

The last three competent Presidents we have had graduated from West Point, Texas State and Whittier College. If you throw in Reagan, which some do, you could include that podunk school he went to.

Bush I is the only Ivy in the bunch who was competent and he got thrown out after one term.

Federal Deficit Tops $1 Trillion for 3rd Straight Year- AP
The nation's budget deficit has topped $1 trillion for a third straight year, adding pressure on Congress and the White House to make more progress a long-term plan to shrink the growing imbalance

Sorry but WE are talking about BHO and he ONLY got the nomination and the fellatioing by the MSM BECAUSE he is the first "articulate, clean black" to run for the Presidency (ask Joe Biden). In reply to:

Uh, I think he won because of McCain's ineptitude and Palin's utter ignorance. You can just as easily blame the Republicans for the result because of that

Namewithheld:

You missed my point. I'm not particularly interested in debating the merits of his credentials.

Rather, the point is that saying he got elected because he is black is sort of like saying UT won the national championship in 2005 because our defense stopped a 4th and short late in the 4th quarter. True, but leaves out a lot, doesn't it?

Let's put it in this context, "Ronald Reagan would not have been elected President if he weren't a white man." Again, this is almost certainly true but says nothing about the multitude of factors that caused people to vote with him.

If, on the other hand, your contention is that the ONLY reason anyone voted for Barak Obama is because he is black, then you are indirectly supporting the assertion by Pitts linked in the original post.
